During the end of shooting of my second short film Vessel, actor Konstantinos Lagos proposed if I'd be interested in directing a music video for the metal band Dimlight. Despite some initial inhibitions, I found the idea intriguing.

The band members had already decided upon the location, the derelict sanatorium in Mount Parnitha. It seemed like the ideal place to film the video.

RID was shot in seven days with no crew, in May of 2008. Natural light & 2 cheap flashlights were used for the cinematography. The small mini-dv camera, with which I had also shot my previous short films, was again the main means for filming. My only practical way for creating steady motion shots were zoom-ins & outs, as well as a couple of tilts and pans with the camera mounted on a tripod. I devoted about 8 months for the editing & color process, an intense period during which I tried to give shape to a complex mosaic of moving images.
